Colorado Bucket List

Posted on Posted in Lifestyle

I know I am out here for work, but I am still a teenager (well only for 1 more month shh— wait, that’s so weird to think about) and I still want to enjoy my time and have fun while I am here!
So, I created a bucket list of things I want to do here before I leave and if you are interested in seeing what I actually end up doing, I will be vlogging AND I will be coming back to this post and crossing things out as I complete them! So let’s get into it! Most of these are things that people here tend to talk about a lot and I kinda took a mental note and went and looked them up later because I am creepy and want to always know whats going on hahaha.

The ‘Before I leave in mid-August’ Bucket List
Go to a concert at Red Rocks
-The Manitou Incline
-Go to Denver
-Go to Boulder
-Run 3 miles (might not sound crazy but 1. I am not a runner and 2. the elevation here makes running really hard for me so I know if I can run 3 miles here then when I get back home I will be able to run further.)
-Go to Paradise Cove
-There is this one little spot I like a lot that is about a 20 minute walk from where I am living and I just really like it and I want to sit down and have dinner there for some reason.
-Also at that same spot, I want to watch the sun rise because I am a sucker for sunrises and sunsets
-Move into the Olympic Training Center
-See the Maroon Bells!!!

There is probably more, but these are the only things I can think of right now and I have to be a bit realistic because I am only technically in CO for 3 more weeks give or take (I’ll be in Oklahoma for 2 weeks). These might not sound exciting to the Colorado native but hey, I’ve never done them!
The main reason I am doing this is because I figured it would make me motivated to start trying to do some of these things. It’s weird living by myself in a place where I barely know anyone or anything and I don’t want to keep sitting on my booty just wishing I was having fun. I am here for the summer, I want to get the most out of it.

If you care, come back to this to see if I add anything or if I actually do any of these things!

Thanks for reading.

Until next time,
The Brooke Book

  1. Hi, I found you from the HCBN Facebook group! And OMG THIS IS THE WEIRDEST, you’re a USA Volleyball intern?!?!? I was a communications intern there last summer! I’m actually still living in the Springs, I just finished up a five-month temp job with the USOC! AAHHH! How long are you going to be out here?!

    1. Hey sorry I just saw this! Is it weird to say that I have actually seen your blog because I was on Tumblr once looking at the Olympic Training Center tag hahaha! But yes I am a high performance intern currently. But that’s awesome congrats on that job! I leave to go back to MA August 16th!
